The Yamhill County Sportsmen’s Association (YCSA), is a member only organization, limited to 200 members at any one time. The cap on the membership is based on limited terrain and resources afforded the club, while providing and maintaining a quality and safe shooting experience to its members. Critical to the ongoing success of the YCSA is member involvement; monthly meeting attendance, work party involvement, participation at a special event, and at minimum, staying abreast of club business and events.

There are no paid staff in the YCSA. All work to keep the range and club running smoothly is left up to the members. A large percentage of additional range facilities have resulted from individual member ideas shared with the other club members and presented to the Board. When approved the many skilled members turn to and bring the plan to fruition.

The most important aspect of member involvement is the commitment to observe range and firearm safety; every member utilizing the range is the Range Safety Officer on duty. Toward that end, compliance with the Range Safety Rules and Procedures, is non-negotiable. The YCSA requires all its members to Protect our 2nd Amendment Rights beginning with a personal commitment to being Responsible Citizens and Shooters.

INTERESTED IN A YCSA MEMBERSHIP?

Before one even considers answering this question, the greater matter is if that person has any past or outstanding legal issues precluding the right to own and use firearms. If so, YCSA membership is not open to the individual.

Assuming the above is not an issue, the interested person should apply to get their name added to the potential member waiting list, by following these simple steps.

Call or text the YCSA Secretary (503-705-8313) to express your interest.
Provide the YCSA with your first and last names, a current phone number and email.
Make note of the YCSA place holder number received and notify the Secretary of any changes in your contact information.

Note...Potential members are only invited to join the YCSA once a year. This occurs in May following current membership renewals in April. The number of members opting out by not renewing their memberships, is the number called from the waiting list and invited to join the YCSA.
